It is noteworthy that the lunches and dinners organized by the visited manufacturing Groups were amazing and laudable. On 22nd April the Chinese’s Dinner-Cocktails Reception hosted by the Meile Group was a very elaborate one. The Lunch organized by M/s Holland Mechanics was extremely appreciated. The delicious food blended with the overflowing hospitality which gave complete enjoyment and pleasure to all the delegates. |
Overall the visit was very useful in terms of generating a mutual understanding with Indian and Chinese bicycle and bicycle component manufacturers on the basis of the interactions and understanding developed, which is most likely to lead to joint ventures and other business promotional initiatives to improve and preserve the general health of the industry. |

The contributions rendered by Mr Onkar Singh Pahwa (Avon Cycles Group) and Dr and Ms Karen Sui and Kim of Meile Group are praise worthy as without their efforts such a visit would not have been possible. The Indian Bicycle Industry is indebted to both of them for making such a memorable, successful and fruitful venture feasible. |
Candidly it would also be in the fitness of things to acknowledge that such a delegation from India to China is the joint team work of several untiring and enthusiastic personalities who spared no effort in making the trip successful. A mention of a few such office bearers of UCPMA that need a mention are Mr Manjeet Singh Khalsa (Chairman) Mr D.S. Chawla (President), and Mr Rajeev Jain (General Secretary). |
