The 2nd Gold Distribution Awards Ceremony for Regional Territories was organised for Dealers of Bihar,
Jharkhand & Nepal on 6th March, 2010. There were approximately Seventy Dealers from these three States
who attended the function. |
Personal interactions and meeting by the Management started during
the day itself at their factory premises at Sahibabad. The Dealers
were invited in groups from their respective locations and given
special treatment for their stay and refreshment, etc. After the
warm welcome of the dealers by members of the Management
team, they provided opportunities to all Dealers to visit the factory
and have a look at the facilities under which the branded items with
‘Atlas’ label are manufactured in the desired shapes to meet the
requirements of the people.
Though a visit of the Dealers to the Milton Cycle Factory at Sonepat,
where it manufactured Chains, Pedals, Forks, Rims, Fancy and
Standard Frames, etc was on the cards, however, finally this had to
be dropped as there was not enough time to do so- and it was
decided to keep this visit pending for a later date. |

Abhinav Kapur and Vinay Khurana with dealers
during afternoon session
seven years back in 2003 when
M/s Atlas Cycles, Sahibabad and
Milton Cycle – Sonepat came
into existence as separate
entities. At that time the
company had only two paint
Plants, which have now grown
to five and the sixth one is going
to start within a short span of
next 2-3 months. Mr. Kapur was
glad to announce that from a
production capacity of Sahibabad
unit of 2,000 bicycles only per day (approx. 50,000 bicycles per month) in 2003, the present capacity is 1,50,000
bicycles per month, which shows 300 per cent growth within merely seven years. |
|
| |
Mr. Kapur made it known to the dealers that during the initial years, there was no export business but now the
per month quantum of export is 10,000 bicycles. |
| |
Amongst the other improvements brought into practice in 2009 are the packaging system, which makes
distribution easy. It was reaffirmed that ‘Atlas’ has always been committed to quality. It is also a well known
fact that certification from a National Testing Centre has become obligatorily which results in more confirmation
in terms of quality. Therefore after a persistent effort and follow-up, in the last week of February 2010, the
company has successfully obtained the widely accepted quality certificate i.e. ISI (issued by Indian Standard
Institute). He proclaimed that this certification to ‘Atlas’ products will also help it in most of the Government
Tenders coming out, which are provided to only those manufacturers who have ISI Certification for their
products, and who can bid. |
| |
As a result of constant development, it is proposed to focus the future programmes in children’s single packed
bicycles both in assembled and SKD condition. He thanked the good paymasters and urged the others to
improve the payment flow tempo so as to avail reciprocal service from the Principals. He further pointed that |

The third gold prize was gifted by
Rishav Kapur to M/s Yadav Cycle Stores |
since the company - at times - finds it difficult to abridge the
availability (manufacturing capacity) versus demand of the market,
they may be forced to give supply priority to those who are making
advance payments.
As far as complaints on shortage of spares are concerned, Mr.
Kapur assured the Dealers to fulfill their demands while taking
adequate steps in their manufacturing Plants–primarily based on the
supportive deliverables being catered for by Milton Cycles, Sonepat.
Mr. Kapur won over the confidence of the gathered Dealers. He
said, “Dear friends, we are not merely business associates, but we
treat you as family members. This is not a polishing language come
from my mouth…but a statement from inside my heart…and such
a developed confidence cannot be destroyed and snatched away by
|
|
anybody..” The dealers responded to this statement with a big round of applause. Mr. Kapur reiterated |
his full support in resolving all genuine problems being faced by any Dealer and told them that he can be called at his mobile number anytime around the clock as he never switches off his mobile!
Mr. P. K. Mahajan took the stage thereafter for a few minutes to
address the public, when he specially thanked the Almighty God and
also congratulated the Management for the overall growth on all
fronts.
Thereafter, the Gold Distribution Awards Ceremony was started by
Mr. Gautam Kapur. M/s Agarwal Cycle Corporation, Katihar carried
