GRL International Ltd, Mumbai, one of the largest manufacturer of bicycle tyres & tubes in India organized a raid on the premises of M/s Swastik Rubber (India), Muzaffarnagar on 24th October 2009 who were manufacturing and selling fake Bengal Tiger cycle tubes which is a registered brand of GRL International Ltd, thus violating the copyright act.

The company officials along with High Court commissioner and local police in compliance with the Court’s order raided the above premises and seized imitated goods, screens and packing material in large quantity. The goods have been kept under court’s protection and a suit has been filed against Swastik Rubber in Delhi High Court for damages.

GRL press release said, the trading community of U.P has widely appreciated the step taken by GRL International for curbing the production and sale of imitated products which were not only tarnishing the image of a respectable brand but the Ultimate buyer was also being cheated.

GRL International, however, have strongly warned those people who are engaged in production and sale of imitated products for stern action of such type in future as well.
