Hero Cycle, a leading name in Bicycles in India (part of Hero Group) held its 4th Dealers’ Meet in at Ludhiana on 11th September, 2009. 283 Dealers from West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam and North-Eastern States were participated. Similar to this, their first two days dealers meet was held on 23rd March, 2009, when dealers from U.P. and Uttaranchal participated. The second meeting was held on April 23 & 24 April and Dealers from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan were present and third conference Punjab of dealers was held on April 30th, 2009.

During the 4th Conference, nine new models were launched; out of which four were kid models namely Karishma, Dazzle, Bang & Dinosaur. Fast and the Furious series was also launched consisting of Genius, Octane Estes, Octane Recra, Octane Orion, Octane Astra and Octane Spear models.

Dealers were provided the chance of taking a round to their manufacturing facilities, explained the various steps/activities and also have been shown the various steps and even finished version of the new models.

The company management shared the technical knowledge and work process information by conducting plant visit for dealers, with the help of company professionals. During the process of explaining the technical know how at the time of plant visit.



The company also has a computerized R & D division, which works towards production of best quality products. The company also has its own testing labs. The Lab head explained about the various Q.C. testing equipments i.e. Accelerated Weathering Tester, which is made to test the UV raise effects on paint – costing about 15 lacks, which is the only machine in India and is installed and operational at Hero Cycle factory. The company also has its own testing labs for bicycle parts testing i.e. Rim Tester, Pedal Tester, Frame Tester, Fork & Frame Tester, Handle Bar Load Tester etc. The Tool room of the company has computerized CNC Machines for accuracy and finest design of the Tools.
