 Keeping in mind the overall condition of our village roads, cycle-major Avon Cycles has introduced a new model of Roadster Cycle in the market by the name ‘Senapathi’. As per the assurance given by thm,e company, ‘Senapathi’ is designed and made to very much suit any damaged condition of village roads in terms of speed, durability and capable of carrying considerably more weight than any other ones. This particular model is comparatively heavier by 1.2 Kg. than the other model of Roadster. The company has taken the initiative of designing this model after a close observation of the condition of village roads, which in other words, the company designs and shapes its products after understanding the exact requirement of the end-users to suit the demand & matching environment. |

Mr. Pahwa said that in spite of having increased the weight of ‘Senapathi’ slightly than the other model, it will give a light running to the riders. He emphasized that the increase in weight was to improve the durability and reduce the chance of wear-n-tear while fighting with village roads. Moreover, though ‘Senapathi’ models remains in the category of conventional bicycles, its shape is somewhat like MTV cycles. For improving the overall strength, it has been decided to keep the frame and fork heavy-duty. Apart from the above, Wheels and Crankwheel of this special model have been made with 48 and 20 wheel-teeth, with which the might of the bicycle is getting improved. Mr. Pahwa further told that ‘Senapathi’ is also made in 22 inches size and will be available in three colours of black, green and red. The first lot of this model has already been dispatched for hit the markets of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The model is priced at Rs. 2700/- per unit. With this, the company now has altogether 115 models to its credit, and it is decided to keep the productions capacity as 250 ‘Senapathi’ models per day and its sale and distribution have already been started. It is quite encouraging that the company has already bagged an order from Bangladesh for the supply of 1000 units of ‘Senapathi’. |
