At the Raipur Cycle Show, a young enthusiastic cyclist, Mr B Vishnu Murthy happened to meet Mr. Onkar Singh Pahwa, Chariman, Avon Cycles and our Editor/Publisher Mr Vinay Khurana at Avon Cycle Stall. He is having a mission to protect our earth by avoiding motorized vehicles to the maximum possible extent and using bicycle in place of that.

According to Mr Murthy, he now-a-days is riding bicycle to his office and back to residence daily whereas he was earlier using a motorized vehicle. In this way, he is saving Rs.150/- per day or otherwise 3 liters of petrol. He is of the serious opinion that if 10% of our population starts using bicycle in place of fuel-run vehicles; we need not have to import petrol and thus can save petrol for our future generation.

The message he has to convey to everybody is that by using bicycles, we can save our earth from pollution. In order to support his vision and mission, he started a cycling club on 9th September, 2009 and formed ‘Save Our Earth Cycling Club’ at Raipur, which today has a membership of 125 people of different age group.

This gentleman sought the suggestion and advice of everybody about his mission. No doubt, using bicycles in place of motorized vehicles will be beneficial in different ways not only for an individual but generally for the public and ultimately for our mother earth as a whole - economically, recreationally and other immeasurable means!
